Does Standard Friends and Dora really work?

I have picked up this book no less than 25 times in the bookstore over the past couple of years. I would read the description each time and each time decided it just didn’t interest me. One night I was scouring Amazon looking for a new book for my Kindle. I came to this book again and this time read the reviews on the book. I was surprised by how many rave reviews it had. I decided to go ahead and purchase the book and am I glad that I did!
I started to read on Friday night and by Sunday morning I had finished the book. It was wonderful, Ms. Gruen is an excellent storyteller and these characters have stayed with me long since I read the last page of the book.
So, if you are like me and the description of this book doesn’t grab you, my advice is to give it a try, you will be glad you did!

Today about Friends Dinner with

Reading an unfavorable online comment from “Plattypus”, I came across this sentence — “Also, Margulies’s use of conversation is not believable. Characters are always interrupting each other, which is certainly true in real life. However, in this play they do it constantly, and nobody ever seems to notice.” This is a statement that has to be challenged. People in conversation — particularly heated conversation — interrupt each other (and themselves) all of the time. I have done experiments transcribing tape-recorded conversations that bear this out. If you’re gonna knock a work, do so with a valid argument.

Peer and Cliques Friends happy

I truly am enjoying this new way of reading books. Easy to transport and very thin. The idea of not having find storage, or trying to figure out to how to get rid of the books….even having to donate, its time consuming… amazing….its easy to order new books. operation of my kindle is so easy….i can start reading more than one book, and go to the “last page read” on multiple books.
i highly recommend this.
The only draw back, is the screen, the screen does not have any auto light features, and you must purchase a light, as an outside source. If you are reading outside and the sun goes down, put away

And Standard Dora Friends and you

Wow. I hope that’s not all I can say about this book, but that’s where I’ll start. Wow.

Every time I hesitate to think I’ll find a book that is captivating, entertaining, and that will keep my interest and keep me thinking about its characters long after the book is over, I somehow seem to find myself happily surprised. Water for Elephants was one of those books. It was really that good.

I heard good things about it, always saw it on the shelves at bookstores, but it wasn’t until recently that I decided to give it a chance. Why? A book about a circus in the depression/prohibition era is probably as far away from my “normal” reading zone as I can get. But I’m telling you – it doesn’t matter! Not one bit.

Entertaining and engrossing from the very first chapter, I was taken away on this journey with the characters. Nothing short of fascinating, in ways I wouldn’t have thought possible. Part love story, part coming of age, this is at its roots, a story about life and the unexpected paths it may take. I really came to love the character of Jacob, and sympathize with his situation and his love for animals. It’s been over a week since I’ve finished the novel, and I still think about the characters every day. I really got caught up in their world which is something, I must say, is sometimes way too rare in the books I read. Many are good stories, but with Water for Elephants, I really felt like I was traveling along with them in their adventures. A pleasant surprise.

Overall, I have already recommended to more than a few friends, and would encouragingly recommend it here. It may just be one of those precious few books that when you finish it, you stop and, at a loss for words, say – wow.

I notices that the older models are Valued at a higher rate then the newer Versions and models ….this is very strange to sell things that are out of date at a higher price then the Newest product….The only reason there at a higher rate is because of the way u can exploit them ….The item i got was very nice and worked great …..for the price i think it is very strange

Get Friends and New Old now

This is a great book at a great price! I first read this book several years ago, but had to get it from the library because it was out of print. I’m so glad to see a new edition in paperback. The writing style is more similar to Jane Austen than any other sequel or fan fiction I’ve read. Anyone who enjoys reading stories on the Derbyshire Writers Guild, will enjoy this book!

Friends Teach me about and you

I could not put this book down! I am in my 30’s and started to read this as recommended by a friend. I loved it. I got everyone in the office to read it and my Mom- she’s very picky and in her 60’s. They all are hooked! Must read before seeing the movie.

We own this Furminator as well as a wannabe competitive version. You’d think it wasn’t rocket science to come up with a basic fabricated metal design to collect hair, but for some reason the Furminator blade works so much better at collecting the fur vs the competition. Maybe they have a patent on the specific subtle shape or something, but I am amazed at the difference in performance between the two.
