I had used my brand new vacuum cleaner for about 15 minutes before the belt broke. Since I had company coming in less than an hour, I had to vacuum most of my house using the attachments–highly annoying (and tiring). A replacement belt was easy to find, cheap, and fairly easy to install, but really, shouldn’t an appliance just work without having to replace a vital part the first time it’s used? The belt on my previous vacuum cleaner lasted for over 10 years.

The vacuum cleaner does pick up well, and unlike other users after very limited experience I don’t have complaints about the attachments. It’s no noisier than my old vacuum cleaner or most others I’ve used.

Please do not buy this watch. I had problems with it immediately. I followed the instructions exactly and nothing worked. So I googled “Garmin Forerunner 305 does not work” and it seems like everyone who bought the watch had the same issue. (I think Garmin must be the ones giving this watch “fake” good reviews) Several people called Garmin support and were told to reset the watch. Sometimes this worked but people still had issues with the watch randomly turning off even when fully charged. The watch I bought malfunctioned several different times buzzing continuously and the screen was frozen. I tried the “soft” and “hard” resets and neither worked. The watch would sometimes turn on and then none of the buttons worked. Then it would randomly turn off again. The people were posting that the “hard” reset button worked for them every time the watch malfunctioned but that by doing this it erased all the memory. I would not want my watch to constantly malfunction and then in order to fix it, you have to erase everything. The purpose of the watch is to track your progress. Some people also were told by Garmin they needed to download an upgrade in order for the watch to work properly. (By the way, there are no instructions in the box regarding any of this and there is nothing in the box that tells you about resetting the watch or what to do if it is not functioning properly) So anyways, I can’t even download the upgrade because the watch will not connect to the computer at all. You also cannot install the CD unless the watch is connected. As you can tell I am very frustrated with this watch and I just bought it yesterday brand new from Best Buy and I will be returning it. I am very disappointed though because I am training to run a marathon. I was looking forward to some fun trail runs and then tracking it with the watch. If anyone has any other fitness/GPS watch suggestions I would like to know of one that actually functions properly. My email is sstcat1@hotmail.com. Than

It takes out more hair than a traditional pin brush. My golden didn’t like it at first because he has sensitive skin. I realized there doesn’t need to be a lot of pressure exerted to extract the undercoat of his thick hair. I borrowed a neighbors’ brush (she has 2 English Mastiffs) before I purchased my own, and the furminator does appear to dull after much use. I am not sure how old her brush is but it is not sharp enough to remove the same amount of hair as a new one. Not sure how long of a shelf life this brush will have, but it’s great for now…

I can’t believe how strong this vacuum is!! Considering how old it is, this is one GOOD vacuum. It works better than any others I’ve used, and I’ve gone through a lot(!) and each one lasts only a couple months or barely a year. I love, love, love this thing, it’s one of the best investments you can put down for your house. Seriously, do not doubt a vacuum just because of age.

Bought this card for a Panasonic ZS7 camera and have had no problems. The card works just as well as two other memory cards I have of different brands. I like the capacity of this card and don’t think I’ll have to worry about filling it up. This has happened to me with 4gb cards.

Perhaps out of all Mahler’s symphonies this may be classed as the greatest and the performance on this disc is magical. It’s an emotional rollercoaster, the playing matches any of the world’s finest orchestra’s. The entire three dimensional journey of music and sound is crystal clear, incisive and totally natural. You get the impression every musicial thoroughly enjoyed it and Caetani draws out the most beautiful sounds from Robert Schumann Philharmonic. He sets out his distinctive stall from the very first notes – an electrically intense tremolo and then a dramatic accelerando on the rising figure in the lower strings. This is the real voice of musical argument, not a mere statement of musical fact. And so it carries on right through the high dramas of the first movement. How often one catches an individual inflection to a phrase or an inner voice one had never quite seen fit into the argument. But turn to the score and you will always find an authorial justification in the text for what may surprise you. It continues like this through the whole work. The andante has a lightness of touch that makes of it the real interlude it is supposed to be – rather than the elephantine galumphing of a Klemperer or the hyped urgency of a Solti. The scherzo acknowledges its Wunderhorn origins, but retains it symphonic cogency – and the first Trio is a wonderfully supported piece of levitation. Janet Baker brings a lifetime’s experience to a profound Urlicht. And the vast final movement, which can so easily reveal its episodic nature and fall apart at the seams, is sustained and controlled with a fierce intellectual coherence. Which takes nothing away from the splendours of the choral finale. It is worth buying for the final movement alone – which must surely leave you breathless.
Any fan of this symphony would be a fool not to buy this, and I expect that many will have it as their first choice.
MAHLER Symphonie No 2

This is truly a polarizing book. When you read it, you will either love it, or hate it. I have yet to meet anyone on middle grounds with it. A friend and I actually avoid talking about it because we disagree so much about it.

I enjoyed the book for the first chapter or so before repetition of the line “[x] depressed me” began to annoy me to no end. I simply could not like Holden, and this is not a book where you can dislike the main character but still enjoy the story.

Having read it for an assignment and then having to write an essay, I do appreciate the meaning behind the book. I appreciate and understand how we hate the characteristics in others that most reflect upon ourselves and how desperately one holds on to childhood. I simply could not enjoy the story as much as I liked the meaning behind it.
